ABOUT THE ATHLETIC WAY
TRAINING BUILT ON EXPERIENCE. COACHING BUILT ON CARE.
The Athletic Way is a personal training fitness facility in Bedford, NH, where every member receives an individualized program, expert coaching, and a community invested in their long-term success.
HOW THE ATHLETIC WAY BEGAN
FROM PERSONAL SETBACK TO PURPOSEFUL COACHING
The Athletic Way began with owner Kyle Arsenault’s own experience as a competitive athlete. Training helped him become a better competitor, but it also gave him something beyond physical performance: confidence.
Like many young athletes, however, Kyle did not yet understand the finer details of movement, recovery, and sustainable training. Years of pushing his body without that knowledge eventually contributed to overuse injuries and two hip surgeries.
Those setbacks changed the direction of his career. After earning a degree in Exercise Science, Kyle spent four years working as a Fitness and Performance Coach within a physical therapy clinic. There, he developed a deeper understanding of human movement and saw how fitness, athletic development, and movement-focused coaching could work together.
Kyle founded The Athletic Way to give other people the guidance he wished he had earlier: a thoughtful program, knowledgeable coaches, and training that could adapt as their lives and bodies changed.
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
HELPING PEOPLE BECOME STRONGER FOR LIFE
Our mission is to help members build the strength, fitness, confidence, and sustainable habits they need to enjoy more active lives.
We are not here simply to lead someone through another workout. We want every member to understand what they are doing, feel supported while doing it, and leave each session closer to the person they want to become.
Success at The Athletic Way means making meaningful progress while developing a stronger, more resilient body that supports your life outside our facility.
THE ATHLETIC WAY APPROACH
EVERY MEMBER DESERVES THEIR OWN PATH
No two members arrive with the same goals, experience, movement history, or starting point. That is why our approach begins with the individual—not a prewritten class workout.
-
PERSONAL PROGRAMMING
Every member follows a training program developed around their goals, abilities, experience, and individual needs. -
COACHING, NOT GUESSWORK
Our coaches explain each exercise, provide feedback, and remain involved throughout every training session. -
AN ADAPTABLE APPROACH
Training can be adjusted around changing circumstances, movement limitations, previous injuries, and how you are feeling that day. -
LONG-TERM PROGRESS
We prioritize sound fundamentals, sustainable habits, and consistent improvement instead of random workouts or passing trends.
TRAINING THAT MEETS YOU WHERE YOU ARE
STRENGTH CAN START AT ANY LEVEL
The Athletic Way welcomes people with different goals, abilities, and levels of training experience. You do not need to consider yourself athletic or already be in shape before walking through our doors.
We work with:
- Adults and busy professionals
- Adults over 40
- Parents balancing demanding schedules
- Beginners learning how to train
- Seniors focused on strength and longevity
- Experienced exercisers seeking better guidance
- Athletes pursuing greater physical performance
- People returning after an injury or physical therapy, with appropriate clearance
Whether you want to become stronger, improve your energy, gain confidence, or remain active for years to come, your program will begin at the level that is right for you.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOUR PROGRAM
COACHES WHO CARE ABOUT YOUR PROGRESS
Our coaches bring different backgrounds and experiences to The Athletic Way, but they share one responsibility: helping every member receive knowledgeable, consistent, and personal support.
The birth of TAW, and the reason TAW integrates principles of athletic development, fitness, and movement mastery is because of Kyle’s personal journey.
Being a competitive athlete throughout his youth, Kyle fell in love with training and what it was doing for him as a competitor, and also for his personal confidence.
Unfortunately he didn’t understand the fine details of proper movement that he and the TAW Team know today, and he found himself a victim of overuse injury.
After working through 2 hip surgeries, he found himself a fitness and performance coach within a Fitness Physical Therapy clinic for 4 years. After soaking up an amazing education while there, Kyle new it was time to take his knowledge and open The Athletic Way.
Kyle remains obsessed with human movement, health and fitness optimization.
If he isn’t coaching at TAW, Kyle is likely working on a TAW project, or running around with his amazing wife Jamie and their 4 little ones who also enjoy moving, training and living athletic!
