TRAINING QUESTIONS
What is personal training?
Personal training is a coaching service built around your individual goals, abilities, experience, and movement history. Rather than following a generic workout, you receive a structured program and direct guidance from knowledgeable coaches.
Will my workouts be personalized?
Yes. Every member receives an individualized program. Your exercises, training level, progressions, and adjustments are selected according to your specific needs rather than taken from a general class plan.
Will a coach guide me during every session?
Yes. Our coaching team is present to explain exercises, provide technique feedback, answer questions, and make appropriate adjustments. You will not be left alone wondering what to do or whether you are doing it correctly.
How long are training sessions?
Sessions generally take between 50 and 70 minutes, depending on your individual program, goals, and available training time.
How often should I train?
There is no single schedule that works for everyone. Your recommended frequency will depend on your goals, training experience, weekly availability, and recovery needs. Our coaches will help you establish a sustainable schedule.
Is personal training suitable for beginners?
Yes. Every program begins at the appropriate level for the member. Our coaches explain each movement and help beginners develop strength, fitness, and confidence through gradual progression.
Can I train if I have a previous injury?
Our coaches can adapt exercises around previous injuries, current limitations, and changing circumstances. Depending on your situation, we may recommend clearance or guidance from your healthcare or physical therapy provider before you begin.
What should I wear or bring?
Wear comfortable workout clothing that allows you to move freely. We also recommend bringing a refillable water bottle.
Do you provide nutrition guidance?
Yes. We provide customized nutrition guidance and quarterly programs designed to help members improve their nutrition and other lifestyle habits. Nutrition support complements your training and is adapted to your individual goals.
PROGRAM QUESTIONS
What personal training programs do you offer?
The Athletic Way offers two primary programs:
- Elite One-on-One Personal Training
- Premier Small Group Personal Training
Both programs include individualized programming and professional coaching. The primary difference is the training environment and level of private attention.
What is Elite One-on-One Personal Training?
Elite One-on-One Personal Training provides private, focused coaching through a program created exclusively for your goals, experience, movement needs, and preferred training environment.
Visit our Elite One-on-One Personal Training page for complete program details.
What is Premier Small Group Personal Training?
Premier Small Group Personal Training allows up to six members to train during the same session. Every member follows their own individualized program while receiving instruction, feedback, and support from our coaching team.
Visit our Premier Small Group Personal Training page for complete program details.
Is Small Group Personal Training a fitness class?
No. We do not give everyone the same workout. Small Group Personal Training members train alongside one another, but each person follows a program developed for their own goals, abilities, and experience.
What is the difference between One-on-One and Small Group Personal Training?
One-on-One Personal Training provides a completely private training environment with focused coaching throughout the session.
Small Group Personal Training combines individualized programming with the accountability and encouragement of training alongside no more than five other members.
Which program is right for me?
The right program depends on your goals, preferred training environment, desired level of privacy, schedule, and support needs. You do not need to decide before contacting us. Our team will help you choose after learning more about you.
